Melissa Kovich is a native of West Lafayette, receiving two degrees from Purdue University. She has an extensive healthcare background in diverse settings. Throughout her career she has enjoyed promoting health and wellness in people of all ages. Melissa has taught undergraduate level courses and recently completed her PhD in Nursing, with a specialization in health promotion and wellness. Her dissertation examined well-being of college students using a multidimensional model from positive psychology. She hopes to continue quality of life research and promote well-being of individuals, communities, and populations.
Melissa is passionate about health and well-being, empowering people to live with optimal health, happiness, and meaning. She is skilled in health coaching, including motivational interviewing, positive psychology, and goal setting. These skills can be beneficial in making positive behavior changes and meeting life goals.
